Faith Ball Scholarship
In recognition of the contributions Faith Ball made to healthcare across the State of Kansas and specifically to KARQM, an educational stipend has been established. It is known as the "Faith Ball Scholarship.'' Faith served as a charter Board member and President for KARQM.
The intent of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to an active member of KARQM who would not otherwise be able to attend a national seminar. A scholarship for up to $2,500.00 will be awarded.
The scholarship must be used to pay for expenses associated with a national seminar or conference regarding risk management or quality improvement.
Criteria for application:
The following criteria must be met to submit a name for the award:
• The applicant must have been a member of KARQM for one full calendar year.
• The applicant must have served (in the past 5 years) in a KARQM leadership role as a board member or district officer, or as a KARQM mentor.
• The applicant has not won this award in the past 5 years.
How to apply:
Members who have met the above criteria may apply at the annual conference
To be eligible, you must:
- Attend the conference.
- Submit this document at the conference.
- Be present to win.
- Be willing to write an article for the newsletter or present at an annual meeting a summary of at least one session you attended at the national meeting.
